*i've had a breakthrough!

well, not only did i manage to get 2 bday cards out to my sister-in-laws,

who both celebrate tomorrow,

ON TIME, i also got an actual gift sent to my step mom-in-law

which also arrived ON TIME!

that's 3 in 1 week people.

i took a holiday break.

monster mumblings

*took the kids to the park today for a community sponsored jello slide.

it was supposed to go from 10-2.

we got there just after noon.

they had run out of jello at 11.

instead they used dish soap,

which is awesome when it gets into eyes and mouths,

in case you didn't know.

oh, and the bean decided to remove his swimsuit to be hosed off.

public park. lots of women and children.

one completely naked bean.

one completely horrified mom.

*the clothes i ordered from express for the hubs arrived today.

made him do a fashion show for me.

they all look amazing.

he asked if i would please order more.

i've created a monster.

*was supposed to run 2 miles today and didn't.

guess i'll have to do it tomorrow,

even though it's supposed to be a day off.

when will this get easy again?

*was informed tonight that my eldest wants a bunny.

he promises to "feed it, give it a bath and clean up it's poop with a net.

not like, gramma's real name annette, but the kind you clean up poop with.

so not gramma's name but the thing with a handle."

*since when is saying "lame ass" okay in a pg movie?

sure, i say lame ass time to time, but i don't claim to have a pg rating.

and i don't say it in front of my two little repeating machines.

guess which movie suddenly had a scratch, 10 minutes into it, and had to be turned off?

no seriously, do you know what movie i'm talking about?

*i have a love hate relationship with banana bread.

mostly love.

the only part of me that hates it? my pooch.

why does the good stuff have to suck bad?

*can't find a dress for the bro's wedding.

it's in a month.

suggestions are more than welcomed.

*some "lame ass" decided to pay his verzion bill with my debit card.

had the money back in my account the day i reported it gone.

*no matter how many times i look at my calender,

i can't seem to send a card off on time.

i even started writing reminders,

telling myself "send card today", so that it will be on time.

still can't do it.

example, today's calender says- send john's father's day card.

guess what's still sitting in my purse.

i really need to look into this issue.

after 25 years.

so i'm sitting outside cafe rio on the veranda,

(okay, not technically a veranda, i just like that word

and it is cinco de mayo today),

waiting for dave to pick me up.

3 high school looking kids walk out and head over to their car.

2 girls and 1 boy.

one of the girls goes to the driver side and opens the door,

the other girl and boy go to the passenger side.

he opens the door for her.

that's not the best part yet.

she gets in, puts on her seat belt,

he leans down, gives her a quick kiss, then closes the door.

he then walks around to the driver side and gets in.

did you catch that?

not only did he open the door for his miss,

but he ALSO waited for her to get in and settled

and then closed the door.

may not seem like a big deal to some of you,

but i was extremely proud to see that chivalry is not dead.

oh, and girl #1 had gotten into the backseat...

in case you were wondering where she went.

oh, and when i told dave the above story,

his reply was, "yeah, give it a few years..."

okay, so i wasn't/am not a crazed royal wedding fan...

however, kate looked absolutely STUNNING!

the dress, the hair, the jewels, everything, amazing.

this, ladies and gentlemen, is why every girl wants to be a princess.

and at any other occasion, this delicious man would've stolen the show.

seriously, how is one man so good looking?!

oh yeah, and posh, not your best look my dear.

i'm not just saying that because i'm in love with your husband either.

day 12 mumblings

i am on day 12 of this damn head cold.

it has now moved from ridiculous amounts of sinus pressure,

to an extreme sore throat.

i take lucy in today for a follow up appointment with the doc.

she has the cold too, but it has turned into croup for her.

luckily it's not as bad as this time.

going to have the doc check my gag reflex.

thinking i may have strep.

seriously mother nature,

can we please get a break from all these nasty virus'

and keep some warm effing weather?

i get pissy when it's been almost 2 weeks of feeling like crap.

on a less grouchy note,

this dress is on sale right now.

it'd be super cute with a cropped cardigan.

so any of you looking for a cute summer dress,

that have an extra benjamin laying around,

go get it and then update me!

i do not have strep, just extreme virus 2011.

lucy is doing much better and only has

2 more days of steroids.

this is my taxi schedule this week:

monday- tumbling/break dance class.

tuesday- school, swim lessons, linc's girlfriend's bday party.

wednesday- school, kindergarten roundup, book club (for me), church mtgs (dave).

thursday- school, swim lessons, baby shower.

friday- april fools (want to do silly stuff for the boys).

oh, and one of my besties is having her baby today. and i need to get 2 little boy bday presents and a big boy bday card (all of which will be late).

did i mention i feel like hell and have a ridiculously bad head cold/strep? and that lulu woke up last night around midnight with it as well. and dave is working killer overtime to get a bit finished (we're talking 14 hour days)?

holy crapballs (name that movie), life is BUSY right now!
i've been meaning to do a mcdonald monday post,
but being as it's tuesday night, looks like i missed it again.
next week friends, next week you will see some of the latest and greatest things i love.

just wanted to let all 3 of you out there that follow this blog know, i'm still alive.
just trying to balance life a little as a mom of 3.
with 2 of those 3 being involved in a lot of stuff right now.
and 1 of those 3 learning to sleep in a crib instead of her swing.

now you're on the verge of being kicked off the dvr.

yes, it's been warmer outside.
grateful for the sunshine.
but really wish all the dirty snow would melt.

*booked family pictures for next month.
had to book them before my groupon expired.
really not ready for pictures yet.

*i have postpartum hair.
which means it's falling out and thinning out like crazy!
and it's already really thin.
and gray.
and hasn't been trimmed in almost 6 months.
hence the lack of effort in styling it...ever.

*really need a tan.
hate the upkeep of a spray on.
hate the cancer of a bed even more.

alright, i'm done with the moody mumbles.

if bieber was a 35 year old, slightly balding, well fed, mormon.

*had a fabulous time reminiscing with some of the best guys i know.
and their wonderful families.
got to get together more than every 5 years.

*good food, good (for the most part) kids, good weather, good friends=great weekend.

*so tired.
trying to sleep train Lucy to sleep in her crib.
she's been up at least 4 times a night for the past 2 weeks.
also Grant woke up with the croup cough last night.
sigh, it's going to be a long day.

if i could find cheap flights i think i would book it.

*trying to think of something to do with all 3 kids on friday.
dave will be in rehearsals ALL DAY and my usual going to the mall doesn't sound
that fun with 3 monkeys tagging along.

*need to go to costco while we are in slc.
now just need a place to put all the crap we're going to get while shopping there.

*really wanted to run today.
can't take grant to child care while he sounds like a seal.
maybe i'll try some zumba in the basement instead.

*had a threesome with dave and the dvr last night. watched amazing race, modern family, community, and the office. good times. good times.

*need to visit sephora today. been putting it off in hopes of the real deal. better just do some online retail therapy.
